Hey so I just bought a bundle of 10 refills from the website, europoean shipment.
Everything everywhere states refills are 1kg.
When im about to weigh the refill still closed with cardboard nucleus and desiccant before i mounted on a reusable spool i notice the weight is off at 976grs, like i wrote before still weighing the desiccant and spool nucleus.
Then weighing the cardboard package box + the shrink plastic + the desiccant theres 71 grams.
If i weigh a closed sealed refill box of other color i have 1005grams.
I just bought 10 refills this means 700 grams less total plus the cardboard nucleus x10 instead of 10kg of refill filament
What’s going on?

That is the weight before you soak it in water for 24 hours to get it ready for printing.

I have noticed this for awhile. I keep track of my filaments in an excel doc and seem to get shorted by about 25 to 30 grams. I always just chalked this up to how filament usage is calculated. 70 grams seems excessive.
Sounds like Ill be measuring some filament tomorrow.

Yeah I mean. I bought 10 refills that amounts to more than 700 grams less… .
I can’t even imagine if a spooled filament is also total 1kg or 1250gr…
If the spool alone is around 250 grams… That makes every spool only have 750gr of filament not 1kg…
I feel like I’ve been tricked…

I say weigh all of your spools and out some numbers in excel.
I would be curious to weigh the cardboard insert as well to see what that contributes to the weight.

Inside the cardboard core of the spool, there should be a code. Please also include a picture of it in the ticket.

I had 4 rolls of refill still in the closet, purchased sometime in 2024
They were between 1065 and 1085g, unboxed but still wrapped.
I know it doesn’t. It has been opened.
Btw there’s no category for filament issues regarding quality/ weight issues
Yeah just did weigh a empty nucleus… 35grs less to add to subtracted filament weight.
I’m waiting for the support reply. So far nothing

Here’s a closed/ sealed box with only 1005gr
Now remove cardboard box, vacuum shrink plastic, desiccant and sticker (71gr) + nucleus (35gr).
That’s 105gr less just right there
