Bed Adhesion Issue with a PEI Plate

Last six months of using the X1C, never had an issue that wasn’t my fault. But now can seem to print this doughnut. First layer is fine and passes the check but then shortly after stops sticking and goes spaghetti.

Any idea what I should start looking at to troubleshoot?

At that inner part of the circle where the filament is not adhering is there a chamfer or fillet? I would guess the angle might be too steep and the overhang is having issues possibly.

If you include the .3mf that will help.

If this is in fact a donut, then it surely is a fillet there and on the outside, I would check the slicer preview tab in speed mode to see what is goin on in those areas as far as the amount of overhang.

Yup you are correct, Adding supports fixed the issue. I ended up figuring it out late last night. I guess I became very used to relying on the slicer to warn me about overhangs and required support. With this particular doughnut shape it wasn’t enough over hang to trigger the warning but just enough (fillet) overhang to fail the print.

Thanks for your help!
