Begging for likes and boosts

I switched my printer to “Developer / LAN-Only” mode and started using Orca Slicer. I no longer receive requests to rate models that i have printed and I don’t get new boost tokens to give out to designers anymore. It looks like MakerWorld Boosts and ratings are somehow linked to using Bambu Studio and/or having your printer in the cloud connected mode.

I can still like models, leave comments, and award boosts (I only have one left).
I just don’t get any new Boosts anymore, and I can’t give star ratings to print profiles.

So, @RetroSharky , I tried “download this model to Bambu Studio” (I still have it installed for now).
But it still doesn’t let me rate the model I downloaded maybe they changed that to suit your desire.

I doubt they’ll change anything. It’s always been that way, and people have been criticizing this forever. You probably just have a different workflow or version. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.

The system has always been flawed and has been exploited. I actually posted a thread about this recently. Bambu doesn’t care as long as there are clicks and traffic. From Bambu’s perspective, they’re doing everything right - that’s the key difference. MakerWorld is popular, the products are selling well, etc.

Why fix a broken system if it’s still bringing in a ton of money?"
