Is het possible to place an original Bento box on the left side in P2s?
I do think it’s possible, juist need a stable base. to put it down. Would be even beter to use the screw holes on the side panel to secure it.
I’ve been wondering the same – just put a very rough cardboard mockup together based on the dimensions on the V2 project page (215.6 × 52.8 × 112.8mm) and tried to see if it would fit.
I’m not sure how it fits in other machines, but there’s very little clearance on the left side of the P2S. So much so that the roughness of my mockup leaves a little too much room for error. But maybe the tight fit is intentional and the same in other machines? (Anyone with a P2S and a Bentobox in another machine willing to test this out?
)
It won’t fit. The plate placement tab will hit it. You’d have to decrease the depth by 2-4mm
Thanks. Pity, it was a nice solution if it fits.
I may try to modify the original design to accommodate the P2S, but it would likely be a while from now before I get around to it. I’ll post here if I manage to do so.
The thing about having the 120mm blower cold air intake is that it pushes the chamber out at quite a quick rate - most of the pollutants will just go straight from the nozzle, through the poop chute and out.
Having a filter low in the chamber will be better than nothing but I think the effort would be better spent on dealing with the exhaust air.
I think most people’s primary interest in using a chamber filtration system is when the system is in ‘Heating’ mode, for higher-temp filaments (thus the cold air intake on the P2S is sealed). Can’t speak personally, but it seems like many have used the Bento Box, etc. successfully in other BL printers to reduce smells/VOCs.
Found this one Bento Box Slim Remixed by PurpleCraft MakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models.
Maybe this can be a solution
But the P2S already has a built in recirculating filter in heating mode
KYZ_Design maybe your designs Aux Pro filter and mod in makerworld can be used with extra aux fan from P1S
Some people do just to do.
Haha I’m looking for options and I was just on the store to see that the P2S left side fan is sold out ![]()
Is there a difference between the fan for P1s and P2S? The P1S is available
Im gonna guess it’s minor difference like a bit of foam tape between the fan and duct. I saw a 4 pin fan like this on Aliexpress, that might be worth the risk
KYZ-design. This moment the fan blows the air up. I think it is better that the fan sucks air from top to bottom thru your filter. Like the Bento Box. Air direct from extruder and maybe less warping because of the airflow direct on the extruder.
I just realized it’s your design for the aux fan on the p1s I’ve been using. Gotta say I wasn’t really behind it at first, but printed it and it went together so well and works great.
Thank you for the print. Solved one problem and improved whole plate cooling.
Hey thanks for the feedback
I’ll try to make something good for the P2S too!
