Hey guys. New to the Bambu scene and I have just bought my first Bambu printer; the H2S non laser. This is a massive upgrade from my lock-down purchase of the ender 5 pro plus and love the H2S. There is no comparison for me.
I have read up that the birds-eye-view camera you can buy from the store that only works for the laser side of things and does not give you the ability to stream or permanently view (correct me if I am wrong), and looking for better camera than the side cam internally.
When I was using Octo Print on my Ender 5, I had the ability to stream the video feed from a Pi cam and do miss this view so looking to get an external camera to look down on the printer through the glass.
I have the AMS2 on a shelf above the printer and want to get a camera to look down on the printer and wondered if anyone has already does this and if so, what has worked for them to give them a crisp feed. Even one to retro-fit on the inside would be great but don’t want to loose the seal for the internal enclosure.
The birds eye view camera is supposed to eventually work without the laser module (I want it for the cutter/marker kit but don’t care about laser) but we are waiting on a firmware update. Sadly it’s been in limbo for months.
Hey Sniffynose and thanks for the reply. I have read about the birds eye camera but not too sure if I can install it on to my H2S as it is just the standard printer without the laser or cutter. I did hear it will need a firmware update to be able to be used but not sure if I would be able to install it on the non laser version.

Yeah sadly we are still waiting on the firmware update 
. I opened a support ticket but it’s going to take a while with how busy they are with the sale.
Yeah, the H2C firmware update 1.02 fixed it 7 months after it should have been there from day one. Maybe Bambu should support their released printers before they release new variations of others.

I agree, they finally added the feature for the H2D not long ago but now I can’t buy the camera because it’s been out of stock lol. You can’t win I swear…
The birds eye camera view can also not be viewed whenever desired in bambu studio so I think it isn’t the solution to OPs problem.
I bought a UV laser, and it does not have a camera. I bought a USB camera type that was designed for a laptop. A long/narrow low profile PCBA. Adjustable zoom. I used some double-sided foam tape to attach it to the inside of the safety shield.
Watching my printer print bases for engraved crystal glass blocks, while watching my laser engrave a crystal glass block. 
So if the OP wants a camera inside their printer’s chamber, one of these cameras would probably work. It’s only maybe 5mm thick, so it can be positioned almost anywhere inside and not get in the way…
