Also wanted a standalone table about the size of the H2D and some storage under and since I want this printer in my office contrary to my two other ones which are in the basement, I wanted it to fit with my office furniture. So I design and build one using an older cheap desk which was dissembled many years ago and stored in my shop. I used pocket hole technics for the assembly.
It is designed with top, sides bottom and back panels so it is very sturdy. The drawers are half inch Baltic plywood with pocket holes and some brad nails.
The handles are 3D print with the same design of my office furniture. and the top drawer use gridfinity boxes. The two bottom drawers contain each 12 3d print rolls, so it adds quite some weight. All the drawers are full retract. All the material already had but the hardware (slides and hinges) was the most expensive.
Anybody who have cutting tools (table saw or track saw) and pocket hole jig can do similar.
n.b. I wanted to post two photos but I can’t, I think it is blocked because this is my first post in this forum. If somebody is interested I can private mail the photos…
