With the virtual rainbow of filament color options out there, will Bambu ever expand the filament manager to actually use hex color profiles and names for all filament brands?
There are so many ways that this system could be much less painful to use with the AMS systems!
Personally, I’ve given up on that filament manager. It seems like a good isea that has yet to be implemented in any meaningful way. e.g. Prior to abandoning it, I populated it with my filaments. When I go to tell Bambu Studio what I have loaded on the AMS or single holder most of those filaments are labelled as “unsupported" and can’t even be selected. What’s the point? Anyway, I simply created my own filament tracking system. It doesn’t integrate with Bambu Studio but then again, the integration of the Studio filament manager is pretty useless anyway, so no great loss there.
It’s unfortunate, for me at least, that Spoolman is a Docker image, which is incompatible with my computer setups (always breaks my network configs). Nevertheless, I’m going to dig through the code and see if I can adopt that MQTT listener.
