Bind with Access Code does Nothing? VLAN

Bambu P1S
Bambu Studio 1.10.1.50
Mac OS
Mac on a “private VLAN” that can make unrestricted outbound connections
P1S on IoT VLAN that can not originate connections to the private VLAN
P1S has the latest available firmware (not the new beta one everybody’s excited about with authorization, but the public one from a month or so ago)

Printer is set to LAN mode and shows me signed out of my Bambu account. I’ve power cycled the printer.

In Bambu Studio I go to bind to the printer with Access code. I enter the Printer’s IP (which I can ping) and then enter the Access Code and press next. I enter the Serial number and specify P1S as the printer type and press confirm. The dialog box closes with no message; nothing happens. Printer does NOT show up at all in Bambu Studio.

What am I doing wrong here? Or is this just buggy?

I have the same setup, and I never got it to work by entering the IP address manually. The printer sends out an UDP broadcast to announce itself and Bambu Studio only connects after it received such a broadcast. In this thread you can find a few different workarounds for that.

I have exactly the same problem with Mac and P1S in a normal WLAN, so I think it is not VLAN related. So far I have no clue - especially since the input window closes as soon as “connect” is pressed

My network on the windows machine had switched to public, needed to switch to private for it to receive the incoming from printer, then the code worked.
