I’ve just received the above mentioned plate and I wanted to do a testprint with it. But before I am even able to print it throws to errors and thats annoying. First one is that a foreign object is detected and the second one is that the printplate is not the same as in the gcode file.
Those errors are technically correct, but not wanted. Print plate detection I switched off. That should fix the errors, right?
NB there is nothing else on the bed except the plate.:
Edit: After ignoring the print errors it does print. Lets see how the adhesion and quality is. I do have to say I havent had a single adhesion problem with any material on the original plat. That includes bigger ABS with no warping.
Should be High Temp. Texture Plate has a rougher texture that’s hard-coded with an offset in the machine begin gcode. You’ll want High Temp - it’s the code on the plate.
Glacier and Frostbite have different coatings. Frostbite is the low-temp, water clean only. Glacier is meant for high temps (ABS, PETG, etc). If anything, Glacier requires about 5C hotter than the PEI sheet to stick optimally. It is also alcohol friendly. Same thing for the X1C version of these plates.
Even on the PEI plate settings I have excellent (maybe even to much) adhesion. But atleast for the glacier plate you are absolutely right that the QR code is not for the PEI plate.
