I got the Biqu Frostbite. I selected cool plate and am printing with bambulab’s PETG-HF.
Every time I print I receive a warning that there is a first layer detection even tho it looks fine to me.
So I would click resume but when the print is done the first layer is slightly off center.
Any help with this plate?
The first layer shift is probably cause be something limiting the travel when the printer pauses/homes for the first layer “issue”. Check to make sure your PTFE tube is long enough to fully home and there isn’t any errant poops causing issues. Also 3rd party “mods” can also limit travel.
I’ve occasionally found that certain very specific models in black filament have troubles with first layer detection. I will often turn it off for these as I know that they false trigger.
I have a Biqu Glacier and had the same issues on my X1C. The nozzle was actually digging into the metal plate!! I flipped the plate and it worked for a about a week, then same error and now the paint on the Glacier was smudged! No such problems with the original Bambu plate. I measured the Biqu and it is 0.06” (60 thou) THICKER than the Bambu plate. I had an email argument with BIQU tech support who insisted about 10 times that this was NORMAL! Took the plate out and using Bambu plate. It didn’t help that Biqu didn’t screen print the type of plate that it was and provided stupid little stickers that did not stay on.
