1. Poor installation instructions and design flaws
BIQU’s Wiki says:
“Latest version of the fanduct on the P1/X1 series printer is glued onto the front cover. Use a flat cutter or X-Acto knife to carefully scrape off the glue to avoid damage.”
In reality, the “glue” is inside the mounting brackets, along inner and upper walls at a 90° angle to the gaps. It’s impossible to remove without breaking parts — I ended up breaking two mounting points following their instructions.
2. Safety feature interference
The Panda Jet locks around the hotend nozzle, which prevents the fan cover’s emergency release. The cover cannot be removed during an active or paused print — it only comes off when the bed is lowered. This is a serious safety and maintenance issue.
3. Customer support runaround
BIQU recommends contacting their after-sales team but warns that if it’s not classified as a quality issue, you’re responsible for return shipping. Given these design flaws, that policy feels unfair and frustrating.
Verdict: Between the misleading instructions, flawed design, and unhelpful support, I cannot recommend the Panda Jet. It’s a risk to both your printer and your safety.
