Bottom layer is smaller than the walls

Are you referring to this IO problem? I don’t think it’s the same problem you mentioned.

exact same problem! Long layer time on the bottom solid area changing to short layer time of the wall section = water line

I’m having exact same problem, however the amount of shrinkage differs from print to print. I’m new so any help is appreciated.

I’ve been looking into this issue on several slicers. I have tried everything already suggested in this post and there is nothing that really solves the problem. When I use “Cura” this doesn’t happen, so I realized that “Cura” when it makes the upper layers after filling, makes a line detached from the external lines, and it is on this line that the filling rests. This makes a difference in the visual aspect when contracting. By changing the “Infill/Wall overlap” value, BambuStudio changes the fill distance for all layers and this is not what “cura” does. The “Cura” only does this where the defect appears.

Darn… thank a lots for posting this. Been a week i was looking for a way to get rid of the wall bulge. After thinking sbout it it make a lots of sense that the bulge (or even the warp) was caused by insufficient infill in the bottom part.

hallo i had the same problem to solve this I did 4 wals and 40% infill the print was very good for me

thank you so much for posting this! Thought I would never figure it out

I ended up reducing the wall thickness of my design AND putting infill/wall overlap to 0%. I think that was the issue for me. My bottom later was filled in and when it went to the hollow layer there was an overlap.
