I was so excited to start using my printer and the convenient handy app.
Now, after 3 failed prints I’m starting to think I threw €500 euros down the drain.
Every print is wrong: huge layer lines (those were parts for the AMS lite top mount, they broke really easily as well)
The poop bucket seemed to be going OK but suddenly layers were not sticking.
What am I doing wrong? I thought part of using the Handy app was you don’t need to fiddle with settings?
The poop bucket I printed at 50% speed. Default temp was 220 c for the Bambu pla basic.
There are 2 issues that determine whether layers stick well, one is nozzle temp, and the other is soggy or dried out filament.
Try a fresh sealed spool of filament (not the cheapest you can find, which can be problematic,) and print some of those small test models. You can find them on the internet. If the first model comes out similar to your troubled models, you will know it is not the filament, so raise the nozzle temp 5 deg and try again.
In the Device window there is a temp readout just upper right of the picture that is a direct readout of the thermo-couple attached to the nozzle. It should read the same as the temp you chose when you set up your filiment type. Since this model is new to you, you may have missed that step where you can preset the minimum and maximum temp for the nozzle.
Right below Project Filaments is the line for the filament you chose. On the right end of that line is a circle with dots. Click that then edit, if it offered, and review the temps for the type plate you received with your A1. Scroll down to "Print Temperature, the nozzle is listed with initial layer and other layers. Higher temps are good for the initial layer, but, other layers seem to stick the layers together better at the upper limits of most filaments that I have tried. My A1 has been very accurate, once I set it up properly and seldom needs any other adjustments aside from the nozzel temps.
