Brand new P1s Won’t Load Filament

Just delivered yesterday. I attempted to print a benchy from the Bambu iPhone app.

I put the orange filament in the first AMS slot. It got sucked in but stopped, and the app said something like “push filament until it stops. I wasn’t sure whether it meant that the printer was doing that, or I should. I tried pushing on the filament and it wouldn’t move any more.

The photo shows where the filament seems to be stopping.

Welcome to the forum.

From the iPhone app make sure that you have “use AMS” checked otherwise the printer thinks that you are trying to use the external spool and will prompt you to push the filament in.

I couldn’t figure out how to load correctly from the controller on the printer. It would heat up and not do anything.

From the phone app I clicked on the AMS and selected filament 1 and pressed LOAD at the bottom and it loaded.

The printer controller software should be improved in this area.
