Breakaway supports for PET-CF

I usually print with PETG and have tuned the support settings so the support easily breaks cleanly away leaving a nice flat surface.

I have a part I need to make with PET-CF that also needs supports for a small area. Not surprisingly, the same settings I normally use don’t work well with PET-CF. Is it possible to use supports with PET-CF, or is that a lost cause? Any tips for settings to get a better, clean break? I should note that I don’t have any PVA support material to use. Perhaps using PETG for the support material would work better?

PLA should work with PETG.

Right, but this is about PET-CF supports.

In some testing two things that have improved the ability to break away the supports is to change the top interface spacing to 0 (solid interface) and the top interface layers to 4, with a 0.3mm separation.
