Brim not fully applied

I’m using this model - Royal Gem Crown - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld

p2s printer

Scaling model to at least 500%, using petg translucent, enabling brim (inner/outer) 10mm and the result is like in the pic:

When printing the part without brim consistently fails.

It looks from here that the section without the brim is slightly elevated, or not fully leveled with the plate. Have you verified the model itself? It’s hard to see from the image you posted.

Either the model is not lying flat of the bed…or…you need to add support for that side

If you need support, do not use Tree support.

Enlarging it like that means it no longer lies flat, but instead partially floats in the air. This is the first layer, and everything that is not colored floats. So almost two-thirds.

So you need to move the object down a little bit to fix the problem, just a little bit into the virtual print plate.

Auto orient fixes it for me.

Thanks everyone. Fixed it by lowering ~0.5mm on z axis.
