Why has the AMS checkbox been deleted in Bambu Studio? I now have to disconnect the AMS to use TPU filament from the external spool … despite being set correctly, the software won’t let me print TPU from the external spool while the AMS is connected, insisting that the filament is not mapped correctly. I used to be able to just deselect the AMS and the system would let me use the external spool, but not any more.
Please fix this.
I’m not sure what you’re saying but you don’t need to disconnect your AMS.
Just load your filament from the external spool as usual. Under the device tab make sure you assign a filament to the external spool.
The spool should be added when you sync the filament under prepare. Slice your model with the ext filament (will show up as the last color in the filament list).
When you choose slice it should be selected, but if not click on what is there and you can choose ext from the drop down.
Yes that is what used to happen, but not anymore. All happens as you say until the last step (where your’s shows PETG being in AMS slot A1), I get a red exclaimation mark and no option to seledt the dropdown to choose the Ext spool. There are comments in A1 forums noting this is a relatively recent change to the Bambu Studio software, which I have just upgraded, and that appears to have rolled out the problem to many people. I will try to get screen shots up, but I am unable to regenerate the error until the current print concludes (achieved by disconnecting the AMS!)
You may need to roll back to the previous version of Studio until this bug is addressed.

Just scroll down to the release that you were using before this issue. If it’s the firmware that’s causing the problem you can revert back using Handy.
