My printer stopped working. The filament would feed all the way to the extruder then retract. I took everything apart, the extruder, and the buffer. I never thought it would be the AMS since the filament was making it to the extruder, I could see it through the tube and the green dot on the extruder icon in Handy showed it was there.
I initiated a service ticket on Sunday night and got an immediate response. After a little back and forth Bambu convinced me to take the AMS apart. The bearing support on the underside of the hub was broken. They sent me a new bearing support and I’m back up and running. There are also files to print the support if you don’t want to wait.
I’m pleased with the level and speed of Bambu’s support.

Seems the internal filament hub of the AMS is a source of problems.
For me the opposite side broke. As I am not in US or EU, I had to deal with a local shop to get a replacement. Comment from support was “We cannot deliver to your country”. The AMS was still under warranty
As precaution for the next failure, I printed AMS Internal Hub Unit – Reinforced Replacement, which is the part that broke on your AMS and the AMS Internal Hub Unit Tension Leve, which is the part that broke on mine.
My tension lever fall appart:

I forgot to mention, Bambu will ask you for your serial number before sending replacement parts. Serial numbers are stored electronically in each device and can be read out with Studio or Handy. Read these out before you disassemble everything.
