So… only been with bambu for a couple months. Been wanting an AMS… i’m on notifications and within minutes of going to the site to order, they are sold out again… I think this is the third time?
Anyone who has been with this company know how this goes? Are these little mini re stocks and eventually there will be more than an hour for me to purchase one?
Or do I need to hire a bot to sit and watch the site? I’m on the verge of buying an entire printer AMS combo just to get one!
My experience has been when the items are gone right after you get a notification you need to check the item frequently and not wait for the notification. I suspect when they get stock it takes a while for the notification to be sent in the mean time people checking the site see it in stock and grab it.
Just a guess mind you, and it is very frustrating when you want or need whatever the item is. I wish they’d let you backorder the items so you can hold your place in line…

I was thinking about the back ordering too but.. if that was the case then they would probably run out of back orders and the machines would all be sold before they got them made.. then NO ONE would ever get a chance to buy one lol.
At least this way it’s semi fair.
aah… I guess I kinda wanted a p1s anyway lol
bambu recently had a big sale so it makes sense that its out of stock. i had a similar problem so i bought mine from a different website but the website says that the ams is coming back in february probably for a while so you do whatever you need. i recommend buying on a different website if you dont want to wait.
YOU WERE RIGHT! Randomly checked last night and one came in stock.. BING

They changed the availability to march
Its crazy how long the AMS 2 is not available.
Bought it back in november on a reseller website in austria and still waiting for it.
Thats frustrating and dont know where‘s the problem for bambu? Some Printer models are available in combo and the AMS solo is not?
I almost bought an a1 combo just to get one… but didn’t want the light version. It gets really humid in the summer here especially in my apartment. I was honestly going to buy whatever came in stock and that was the original AMS. Yeah i would have liked the version 2 but whatever at least its a dry box! Just keep going on there and randomly check they do come in stock WITHOUT the alert…
Interesting that they always seem to have the HT in stock, with a $20 discount and free shipping to boot. I suppose Bambu is just fine with you spending many more $$$ to buy 4 of those rather than one AMS.

I should have bought an HT from the getgo instead of my 2 dryers. I like the idea of not having to manually push in filament!
I’m ganna be really sad when I get AMS finally and it has a defect… I’m that guy who always gets the bad products lol.
So… got an issue with my AMS I finally got… was working great for a couple prints now suddenly it is feeding filament very slowly, but retracting filament normally.
You guys know what I should check?
In some cases the AMS is packed inside the box with the printer, literally inside the printer itself. So they may be sitting on some of those combos, while not having separately boxed AMSs ready to go.
Combos are not always packed that way. I ordered the combo P1S + AMS 2 last summer and they were shipped in separate boxes.
What do you mean it feeds slowly?
Need your AMS sometimes multiple times to get the filament through the buffer or splitter (inside the AMS).
Or the rolls turning slowly?
Yeah i know this situation but it‘s kinda weird.
Bambu really thinks the customers are like „oh no single AMS? ■■■■ it, i will buy a combo set“
When it pushes filament out to the printer suddenly its extremely slow, when it retracts filament back to the unit its normal speed. the first day I did not have this issue. I took a peak in there, checked the PTFE tubes didn’t see anything. Kinda weird seems to detract slower each time… just odd the retract is still running full speed.
I have a feeling its going to start stalling. Haven’t touched my tubing don’t have kinks..… eh I was having so much fun!
***Edit: I’m a dummy. Yes it pushes filament very slow and retracts at full speed WHEN NOT PRINTING… just checking the filament. During a print it runs at full speed… I guess I didn’t notice that the other day.
