It’s likely it wasn’t addressed in this particular thread because of the basic assumption that folks already visited the subject on X-Y hole compensation which is essentially this topic. There is no Z calibration.

Here’s a playlist on the topic from a YouTuber who does a fairly thorough job of doing a deep dive, maybe too deep, into the topic. Once you view his video, there will be a ton of videos that the YouTube algorithm will push your way. But to be honest, after you’ve read the wiki, you probably won’t need these videos.
