Call me impressed! Error recovery success

Last night I started a print of the Sanja 3D AMS flipper v2 which has a bunch of different pieces on the build plate. After it got to about 14% complete I got a spaghetti notification and the print paused. Went up to check it and one of the big pieces had lost adhesion and come off. Somehow it didn’t knock anything else loose and I was resigned to the fact that I’d have to waste the filament and start over.

As I was playing around on the printer display I saw that it would allow me to removed the problem part from the print and continue on with the rest. I had no clue that was a feature! I selected the part in the UI and removed it and continued the rest of the print successfully and am now reprinting only the part that got hosed. Never would have been able to do that on my previous printer.

Have I had my issues? Sure. Spent a couple weeks trying to figure out an extruder overload problem that started all of a sudden at just over 100 hrs of prints. Never found a smoking gun after tearing things apart but they all went away when I ordered and swapped in a new nozzle.

This latest successful error recovery has really impressed this former software developer/manager at companies like Apple, Cisco, and Amazon. Great job Bambu!
