Can not add / embed an imported stl or 3mf model

Try as I may, try as I might, there is no way to get this damn thing right!

Studio problem presents itself when working on a 3mf model and importing either a stl or 3mf model and trying to add the imported model properly sized for placement on the top of the project model. I am running the most current version of studio and windows 11

When I try to move the imported model to a position on the project model Studio will not let me place it on the top surface, nor let me embed it two layers into the top surface. The imported model has no current way to change the Z axis from 0 which is the plate surface to a Z axis equal to or two layers below the top surface.

How do I accomplish this? I try to embed objects into the top surface two layers to allow AMS 4 color printing without having all the excess filament color changing creating poop and grossly slowing down the print time.

You need to “Merge” the two objects together to be able to move either of them in Z. If they are separate objects they both will be tied to the face of the plate.
