Can the P1S nozzle affect how glossy the print turns out?

Using ColorFabb PLA/PHA:

On my old Ultimaker, the prints turn out really glossy, which I love.

On my new P1S, the same prints appear much more matte.

I’ve tried to match everything I could think of: the same printing speed, the same temperature, and leaving the door open with the lid off on the P1S.

I know less cooling gives a glossier look. Given that the P1S cooling is much more efficient, I ran the Ultimaker with 100% part fan speed. I then tried the P1S with the part fan set at 50%, 25%, 10%, and even completely off (including the part fan, auxiliary fan, and chamber fan). Still, the P1S prints come out much more matte.

What variables am I missing? My last thought is that perhaps the nozzle material itself affects the glossiness of the print. On the Ultimaker, I use very smooth coated brass nozzles by Micro Swiss, while on the P1S, I use the stock stainless steel nozzle.

I must be overlooking something obvious. Any thoughts? Thank you!

There is an ironing option but it is only good on flat horizontal surfaces

Sounds like we need some photos to truly understand what you mean by glossy.

In my experience, and you can probably see this in a temp tower, the hotter you print, the shinier the pla will be.

Mines more matte finish in the 190-220 range, 235 and up it’s glossier

You are correct. I increased the temperature by 15 degrees, and now the appearance matches on both machines. Brass nozzles have significantly higher thermal conductivity than stainless steel ones, so I need to print at a higher temperature on my Bambu with a stainless steel nozzle compared to my Ultimaker with a brass nozzle to achieve the same results.
