It is possible to use two Cyberbrick rechargeable batteries at the same time in a model to extend runtime?

Provided you make certain both battery packs are charged to the same level, you can connect them in parallel and they will act exactly the same as a larger battery with the same total capacity.

The rules for Lithium batteries are:

  • Parallel connection sums capacities, packs must be of the same voltage/cell count.
  • Series connection sums voltages, packs must be of the same Amp/Hour capacity but can be different cell counts.

just to complement:

  1. charge both batteries to same level (full?)

  2. wire + to + and - to - (in parallel), in this way the runtime gets doubled

now you can charge them together, treating the 2 batteries as 1 with a small warning:

over time, one of the cells may become weaker and since they are effectively balancing themselves one battery might become “puffy” (fill with gas). A more permanent solution is to find a battery with more capacity (in aliexpress for example), that uses the same connector.
