If I bring a part in that consists of numerous bodies, and I convert them into parts so that I can assign different colors to those different bodies. Is there a way to quickly window select multiple bodies within a view so that i can switch the filament color? Right now the only way I know of selecting individual parts is to switch from Global to Objects next to where it says Process and then go through that list and try to figure out where each body is and determine what color it needs to be

Have you tried, shift plus selecting a region using a mouse?
or

Clicking one item, then holding down CMD (on a Mac or shift I think on Windows) to click subsequent models using a mouse to include, or toggling those already selected.
Hold shift and drag a selection box with the mouse.

If only someone had said that and more.
None of those options seem to work. Here is my part, normally when the file comes in all the letters and the main body are all the same color filament. I need to assign each letter a specific color. When I do the Shift and window drag, it selects the top main/top item in my Objects tree, not the individual parts that were broken out when I did the split to parts function.
You may well have a different problem.
Can you provide a screenshot of the objects panel?
I think this model may have been painted and I wish to check.
Ideally, the 3MF itself. Feel free to message it directly to me it if you do not want it public.
Click my avatar and hit message.
I get why you blacked out the labels, but it makes it hard to figure things out for you.
The first screenshot has four obvious objects, three text and one background.
There is no painting, so that is not the issue.
You said you have previously experienced file allowing you to individually access each letter separately.
It does not look like this is the same this time.
Did you design the model or did you get it from a service?
If from a service, is this the same service each time?
Your issue is that the parts are already merged into an assembly. (See the little green plus mark on each part)
So the Shift drag will only select the top level.

What you need to do is select the assembly, then select the the individual part from the side menu and the use shift/ctl to add each additional part.

I designed the model. In the CAD model every letter is a separate body. I do this so i can ensure that each letter gets properly colored. The entire model is saved as a single STL file. When I bring it into bambu, i orient it and then select split into parts. I then go through the Objects list and select which ones I need and assign the filament color I want for them. So you are correct, no painting is done.
Yeah, this is what i’m already doing. The part that stinks is the letters are not always sequential to the sentence or with any rhyme or reason to their order. So it takes a few minutes to sort through them all and assign the filaments to each. This can take even longer on more complex models with 3-5x as many letters.
Can you combine the text character objects in CAD as one body before you export?
I may be able to help, but I need to see your STL.
You are obviously concerned about the privacy of your model, and rightly so.
Could you create a test model, using the same technics and export it the same way, create 3MF in the same way and then share that?
I’m having a similar issue.
I have a model I have had generated and imported into Bambu Studio. I now have over 300+ objects as sperate STLs underneath the main assembley. Ideally rather than using the side menu I’d like to click on the part to chage its colour. Is this not possible?
