Cannot detect SD card

Hello everyone! My P1S combo just arrived today, so I set everything up as per the bambu academy videos. However, the printer cannot detect the SD card that came with the printer. I have looked at the other threads but I couldn’t find anything useful (could be just my google-fu). I have tried:

  1. resetting to factory settings

  2. checking on my mac: sd card works, I can see files and card is FAT32

  3. tried using another card which works on my mac but again cannot be detected

Since the card cannot be detected, it cannot be formatted using the P1S.

It seems like SD card issues are a common occurrence: has someone managed to solve this, or did I just get a lemon?

I did open a ticket but I thought I would post this here since support would probably take a long time replying during this season. I’m kind of desperate now since it took more than a month and a half for the printer to arrive and now I’m discovering I can’t print on it :frowning:

Format the card in the printer. If that doesn’t work, get a new card. SanDisk makes good stuff.

I can’t event detect the SD card to eject it. I have put in an order to buy a new high endurance SD card since I think I will need it anyway. Bambu will be sending me a new module to replace the SD card reader. Thanks

Oh, it doesn’t even see the card. In that case, physically remove the SD card and reinsert it. Just push it down, it should pop up. Maybe it will then be visible to the printer.
