Cannot merge objects

I have chosen several objects (lettering and a primitive cube to cover the lettering). After I select the objects, I would like to merge them into one object. When I right-click, Merge is not listed (see attached pic).

I am covering the letters with a primitive cube as I would like to have other text there.

Is there a way for me to do this? If not, how can I cover the current text with my own? TIA

By chance are the objects already merged? When I added a primitive to an object via the “Add part” object as shown in your image it created the primitive as part of the said object, already merged. Under the side bar it displayed as an “assembly”.

By chance is that what you have already done?

Unfortunately no, I have no assembly listed on the side bar.

I guess I will just put my new text on top of the primitive. Normally I like to have as few objects as I can.

What version of bambu studio?

Are you sure you actually have both selected? My Bambu studio does not allow me to “Clone” when I have more than one object selected.

Your right click menu suggests that you don’t have both selected:

You are correct. I finally put the object on it’s own plate, added the cube and selected everything on the plate and merged. I have just upgraded to 2.7.1.62 and it seems to have some different ways of selecting, moving and resizing primitives.

Thanks for your help.
