Anybody knows how can I make the slicer try to make this as pointy as possible?

Layer height is 0.08 and Arachne is enabled, the result is the same if I lower the minimum wall width from 85% to 15%:
It’s not the bottom layer, I don’t care much about how sharp is the first layer.
I think you’re asking too much of the technology. Pixels on a screen are one thing, but a 0.4 mm nozzle can only do so much. You could try a 0.2 mm nozzle which will allow you to get down to a 0.06mm layer height which will help a lot, but even that won’t produce a truly sharp, pencil-point edge like what you see on the screen. The molten filament simply can’t hold that kind of fine geometry once extruded.
From your screenshot, it looks like you’re trying to model a serrated or blade-like edge. If that’s right, the sharpest result you can expect is something that might cut bread or Styrofoam. For that, you don’t need a metal-like edge - a tougher plastic such as PETG or PC will do fine.
I’m not asking for the printer to give me a wonderful result, I’m asking for the slicer to, at least, try. 4 layers with the exact same geometry is not what I expect from the original geometry.
About the purpose of the print, I’m trying to cut scotch tape.
OK. Thanks for clearing that up. So to answer your question, the slicer will not render the layers that fall inside of the minimum layer. The only way to go finer is to go to a lower layer height and the limits as of today is 0.06mm with a 0.2mm nozzle.
If I may suggest, try setting your slicer to the 0.2mm nozzle even if you don’t actually have one. Then slice the model with a 0.06mm layer and see if it changes the results.
On that topic. Here’s a tip I picked up from Printables and YouTube specific to that application that may be worth a try. The next time you throw away an empty roll of tinfoil or cellophane food wrap, tear the metal cutting edge off and cut to size and use that in your 3D design.
I don’t need help cutting tape, thanks, this is a software question, the slicer is not following the original geometry, it’s rounding the saw teeth making them blunt. A 0.2 mm nozzle with 0.06 layer height has the same issue:
In this example I can see 3 consecutive layers with the exact same path, effectively rounding the teeth of my geometry instead of following it, I’m not even printing anything yet, it doesn’t matter how big or small is the nozzle or the layer height, the path created by the slicer is not following the geometry of my model.
Isn’t there an option in the slicer to fix this?
Do you have “Detect thin walls” on or off? If Studio thinks something is too small for the printer it will just disappear. I made some Christmas ornaments that came to a sharp point and it was happening for me too. I ended up rounding the very tip. When I printed them they still looked pointed unless you looked at them very close up.
I’ve tried “Detect thin walls” on and off. Also tried Arachne on and off. There is no difference.
Would remove small overhangs help ? assuming you havent already tried disabling that
When you turned on Arachne do you remember what you had “Minimum feature size” set to? 10 is the smallest I’ve ever been able to get something to show.
Try this, just as an experiment. Scale it up and slice it just to see if it looks correct. If it does it’s probably too small for Studio to show.
I don’t think there’s any way to turn off it only showing what it thinks will print.
It doesn’t make any difference. Anyway, supports are set to manual and that section of the print doesn’t have any support.

Thats why i asked your image appears to show those ends as round and pointed, which would give them a small overhang ,that maybe being rounded of

Changes in the support config for small overhangs doesn’t make any difference, but thanks for the suggestion.
