I have come across a bug that does not allow me to update my print profiles anymore. I have the keywords “Warhammer” and “Warhammer 40k” in most of my uploads, this causes issues with updating the upload and print profiles.
I have updated the following upload to not include both keywords anymore:
With this change I can now update the name, description and keywords without issue. But I cannot update any of the print profiles because it keeps giving me an error for "Please use “brick” instead of “LEGO”.
After checking what is going wrong, it seems MakerWorld automatically uses the “project information” in the 3mf file to update the old file. So I created a blank / new 3mf without project data and tried to update the print profile again: same error.
Makerworld keeps uploading the old (not current) summary:
Hi Wiebbe,
Thank you for bring this matter to our attention. We apologize for any troubles caused.
Do you mind providing a screenshot of where exactly this notification was showed, and the descriptions you used when this notification popped up?
This will help us identify and pinpoint the issue and resolve it ASAP.
Thank you very much.
Since I’m a software developer myself I circumvented the issue from my end. What did happen is when the request was send from the web page, it added the description the old 3mf file had as meta deta.
The description I’m talking about is the summary from the project, not the description from the print profile.
So I just updated the request manually to not include the warhammer keywords anymore and from that moment on I was able to update it again using the website.
