Trying to do my first print on my P2S.
When I send a file from Fusion, BBStudio opens as usual. But it only shows my P1S which is on the same network as my P2S. (BBStudio says that my P2S is bound.)
It does not give me an option to switch to the P2S.
So I shut down BBStudio and open it independantly of Fusion. When I do that, Studio opens in the home page. I select Device and it immediately shows my printer as P2S.
If I import an STL file, it immediately switches back to P1S and the printer dropdown does not show the P2S.
I used to have a A1 on the same network and I could just choose which printer to use from the dropdown menu.
When I click on Printer Selection I see four photos of BBL printers. Obviously my P1S is selected, but there is no P2S shown in the line up.
I do not have AMS. I have not plugged in a USB stick.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Do you have two versions of bambustudio installed, and fusion is invoking the wrong one?
Help → About from both launch permutations
“Send a file from fusion” sounds ripe with problems, maybe just export as step/stl/3mf file and launch slicers as normal if it continues to have issues.
“Sounds ripe with problems…” Been doing it for years.
Two instances of BBS? I doubt it but I’ll go ahead and uninstall and reinstall for lack of a better idea.
Dont uninstall reinstall. Launch bambu normally. Observe verison number. Launch bambu via fusion. Observe version number
Too late. Already uninstalled and reinstalled. I logged in, but I don’t think I’m bound to either printer now. When I click on Device, Studio shows me a movie that makes no sense to me.
I went ahead a printed a benchy (from the printer screen) to make sure that the thing would at least print. It did and the result was magnificent. But… I thought the machine was going to jump of the bench! It shakes SO much more than my P1S. Another oddity-- the benchy printed on the right third of the plate instead of in the middle. What’s that all about?
After reinstalling BBStudio, I can no longer get it to show me either of my printers. It just shows me a looping video when I click Device. I’m accustomed to printing from my PC in a different room from my printers. Fusion exports the files to BBStudio where I type in my preferences.
At 80, I need advice from a younger brain.
I think I finally have it now. BBS wanted me to “clean” a file from one of those folders buried deep in Windows Explorer. I cleaned it by deleting it and once again uninstalling and reinstalling Studio. Seems good now.
