I have something that I designed that I can’t seem to print without it putting some sort of transition line around the exterior of the object at a certain point No matter what settings I try and change.
It’s a shelf and and it’s printing with the top down on the bed. Once it gets about 1 in up to the point as you can see with the slots start to open it puts a line completely around the entire object slightly raised up from the rest of the smooth print. This is when I change no settings and just start the print:
So doing research online I started changing things like Wall Ordering, Reversing it to outer/inner.
I changed the outer wall speed to match the inner wall speed
I increased it to three and four wall loops
But those changes actually only made it worse as you can see in these two prints:
So the original default settings actually printed best but I can’t seem to remove it and since this is a shelf to hang on a wall I want it to look smooth on the sides without that what I’m calling a transition line.
Any ideas on how to have it avoid doing that?

Yes, exactly what it’s doing. As soon as it gets to the point that it’s no longer solid from end to end that’s when the line starts to appear even on the outside wall which hasn’t changed at all. Attached is the test file that I’ve been using with just a portion of the print.

I guess the problem lays in the bridging layer starting on top of your infill.
The layer needs almost 20minutes and the shell walls are cooled down by then.
Next layers shell walls gonna cool down way more and might having adhesion problems because of the cooldown. Try to up the bridging speed to reduce the layer time is my guess.
Thanks for the suggestions and taking a look at the file. I changed the bridging speed and set the layer time down to zero. I’ll do another test print and see how it affects it.

No Luck. 
I tried the following two setting changes:
But still came out like this:
I´ve ran some test prints for bridge speed over infill.
Even 200mm/s seemed fine on 20% infill on gyroid or grid.
Edit:It seems that 168mm/s is the max speed bambu is considering. It still brings the time of that layer down to 6:40min which is almost 1/3 of where we started.
I would also consider to change your wall order to outer/inner to get a cleaner outside wall.
You wont get a perfect outer wall tho since its still 3-4x the time the other layers need to print.
Idk if it would help to up the infill or playing with speed in orca since orcaslicer let you tweak a little bit more on certain things
I think this was the only solution. Not what I wanted, looks much better as one piece but splitting it seem to be the only way. Now at least it looks like it was meant to be this way. Appreciate all the help and suggestions.

Setting minimum layer time to 0 does nothing here. And you are also blasting 100% fans, which is not needed on a print this big, you are exagerating shrinkage this way. I would go for as little cooling as possible.

Thank you. Those things helped a little but the biggest thing was using the fuzzy skin, which i forgot about. Of course that changes the overall look a little but in this case works and looks great. Does make a 7 hour print take 13 hours but in this case I think it was worth it.
