Can't remove supports without damaging the print > HELP :)

Hello everyone.
I’m printing some containers that are divided into three parts. The print was done with the pieces lying flat on the build plate.
However, the supports can’t be removed properly. And the ones I do manage to remove leave marks on the surface of the piece.

I will consider it :slight_smile: But if I didn’t have a H2D? I mean, there’s got to be a solution for this, I think.

To less walls. Your part isn´t stabil enough to remove the support without damage.

There are many, many things to try. Filament settings, support settings, a more 3d print friendly design, etc.

I strongly suggest going through the Bambu Lab Academy courses for ‘Bambu Studio’ and your printer. You can find them here Sign In | Bambu Lab US They’re really good!

No. It’s the model’s issue. With this model’s geometry, without an H2D or multi toolhead printer, you’re gonna suffer a lot with no doubt. Even with H2D it’s still challenging to make high quality print with this geometry, but at least it’s now doable.

I have used these support settings and never have experienced an issue with prints failing or easily/cleanly removing the supports.

If your support’s brim is fusing to the model at z=0, try increasing this setting, under “Support”

What material is this? PLA, ABS, others? For prints like this You can print with PLA and support with PET-G. The overhang is small so it should work nicely.

PLA, yes. Ans supports also.

So You can use this combo, just set in slicer PET only as interface. remember to set Z offset to zero for support for material to stick to each other. after cooldown they will separate nicely

Check if this setting is disabled:

If this is enabled, the XY offset is equal to the height offset.
If you are printing with specific support material and zero Z-offset, your XY offset is zero also and fuses definitely to your part.

This setting is new in the latest Bambu Studio, and I already noticed that .3mf files that have been created before, sometimes get this toggle enabled.
