Can't update firmware and AMS not working correctly

Hi! I can’t bind the printer no matter what to update the firmware. I have a version from Feb 2023, so it won’t let me update offline, period, as far as I can tell! (01.04.01.00)

I have tried:

1.) The app on home network

2.) The app on hotspot

3.) Bambu Studio Network Plugin

4.) LAN only mode

I always just get “error -1070.”

I really would like to update the firmware before troubleshooting other issues that I have… when mixing materials, I sometimes get nozzle overtemp warnings, and now, it works beautifully but won’t use the AMS at all - it just prints in one color.

Are there any settings I might look at for those two issues? Or is three year old firmware too much for a newer version of Bambu studio?

What other strategies exist to update the firmware?

Though you have used LAN-only mode, it’s not clear if you have tried updating while the printer was in cloud mode.

You will definitely have to use cloud mode to update from your current 1.04.01.00 firmware.

X1C firmware 1.08.02.00 was the first version that allowed offline updates.
