I am trying to build/buy a cat proof inclosure for my A1 combo. I considered a tent, but my cat would just collapse that or shred it. does anyone have any ideas? I have thought about building a ventilated box, or turning a cabinet into one. (and no, don’t go recommending that I buy A p2s or a p1s. I am 13 and can’t afford that.) please give me your input!
Go buy an H2D
All seriousness, the easiest thing to do is keep the printer in a room that the cat can not go.

Cant afford a H2D Broke 13 year old over here.
I am doing that currently, but it is in our guest room and my mom is getting annoyed that it is not in my room where it is only taking up my space.
Large(ish) animal cage? For the printer I mean, not the cat. 
I have no idea what that might cost new, but OTOH there may be used (but clean) ones out there for cheap.

Whatever you want to build, keep in mind that air needs to circulate and that heat must not build up. Think of a PC as a comparison. A1 printers have ventilation slots on the side that must not be covered.
Also, don’t go to the other extreme and point a fan directly at the print plate. If air blows directly onto the print plate, your print quality can suffer significantly.
And now for something you apparently didn’t think of: Animals have a much more sensitive sense of smell than humans. It’s okay to have a printer in the living space, but it should be well-ventilated. Still, it’s not exactly healthy. Animals really shouldn’t be in that room at all.
I’d also ask your parents if they could get you a thin stone slab from the hardware store. They’re really cheap. Or at least a heat-resistant mat.

“Grow Tents” are often supported with metal poles like youd find in a real tent, which would help your catto to not collapse it. Shred is still a concern, but those grow tents mylar/canvas exterior should resist that as well
This is because 3D printers always present a potential fire hazard. Don’t panic: It’s similar to hot air fryers - okay, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, but hopefully you get the idea.
It’s just an extra safety precaution: keep flammable objects away and use a fire-resistant surface.
The risk is low, but fixing it only costs a few dollars. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a stone slab; there are also heat-resistant mats available.
You can attach an angry dog to the printer. Make sure you use a leash, glue doesn’t work.

Honestly, just model and print the frame for a large box, then get panels of some sort and chuck them on the sides. Or you could put it on a table with little clearance on the sides, so the cat can’t jump on the table. That’s what I do, and my cat hasn’t been able to get to the printer.
allign the sorounding area of the printer with Alluminum foil, cats hate that stuff
or use cucumbers (though you need to replace those a lot)

I bought an old server rack - found one that someone had already converted to a 3d printer enclosure, it started off so I’d have somewhere to put my resin printer and I got the a1 after the fact. Might not be feasible depending on availability of suitable secondhand options in your area, but that type of option might be worth keeping in mind
Functional Print Friday built an enclosure a bit ago with 3d printed parts and bought the material for the wall.
