I have a brand new X1C, with the latest firmware, that is not turning on the chamber fan automatically, but it will turn on manually, and it will turn on automatically if I roll back the firmware two whole versions or if I print from the internal models (even in current firmware). I am printing with PLA and the bed temp is set to 55 degrees on the textured PEI. I am using a model that prints fine on my P1S. I’ve verified my machine start gcode and filament start gcode. They are both up to date and even match a friend’s system. I have restored printer to defaults and all. I have tried everything I can think of, even using that friends EXACT system settings and model to print the same model in same exact conditions and it still won’t come on automatically.
Open a ticket with Bambu’s tech support, and submit all evidence you can gather: logs, video, detailed description of the facts, well, everything you’ve got. Might be a simple tech problem, or it might require some replacement parts. Given that your X1C is brand new, the replacement parts will be covered by your warranty (depending on where you live). The tinkering part, however, will fall on you (replacing the defective parts with new ones).
Ticket is in but for some reason it’s a grind just getting them on same page. I said “chamber” fan, with no mention of “aux” fan and now they are referencing the aux fan and asking me “are you sure it’s not the chamber fan?”. Not sure the disconnect.
Patience is highly recommended, even mandatory when "talking " to them. Add photos and videos of the problem part/fan. Eventually they’ll get it…
So, I found this code in the machine_start_gcode, and found that if I removed it, my fan worked like normal. Then I narrowed it down to the R35, which is apparently the chamber temp. I found that if I changed this number to under what my chamber temp was, my chamber fan came on like normal, but if the number was higher, the fan was not turning on.
