Chamber temp sensor in better position

To increase the chamber temperature for polycarbonate (PC FR), I installed an extra heater in my P2S printer. I noticed that the temperature differed significantly between the additonal heater and the P2S build chamber sensor (NTC). The chamber temperature response time was also far too slow. I changed the position of the NTC sensor 180° downwards, and the result was very accurate, matching the auxiliary heater’s readings. The modification is very simple, as the screws and mounting holes are identical. It’s like turning it upside down. Now the NTC is freely exposed to the chamber airflow.

I also put the NTC some mm away from the iron fixing screw.

Is the bracket sticking out added? I notice mine is like 10 off at max

Yes, first I glued the holder to the frame. Unfortunately, the two screws are very difficult to access. Therefore, I printed a small plate out of PC (41x21x2 mm). This position is perfect for temperature sensing.

I have a riser on mine with a ntc sensor clipped in it for my cooling system. Wonder if enough slack to relocate it to there…..

In any case, the length of the lead connecting to the NTC is practically irrelevant. The NTC sensor has a resistance of 100 kΩ at 20°C. So, simply extend the connecting lead accordingly.
