Chamber temperature malfunction [0300-8018-192827]

Been searching around I’m not seeing this error mentioned. I’ve seen this pop up randomly and now it’s happened three times so far two hours into a 4 hour print.

Print is single color Bambu ABS. At random times I see the H2D has the error chamber temperature malfunction {0300-8018-192827] and my chamber temp is set to 0. I set the chamber back to 65 and restart the print and it goes for a while and then the error pops up again for no reason that I can tell.

Anyone seen this one before?

I’ve been getting MC overheat errors during longer ABS prints intermittently.

I’m suspicious these printers have trouble running the heated chamber in hotter ambient temperatures.

Hmm, I haven’t seen any other errors on mine. Granted, I’ve only printed ABS so far. And, it’s not every time I print ABS. I’ve probably done 30 prints or more recently with no issue at all. And now, this one has 3 errors so far halfway through the print.

I could see if it was an overheating error that it would reduce or set the chamber temp to 0 but that’s not what the error says.

I’d contact support from what you are describing.

Yeah, I’m waiting for the print to finish so I can grab the log file. Just figured I’d post in case A) someone has seen this error or B) someone sees it in the future and hopefully I can post back with a resolution.

You shouldn’t set it to 0

Never said I did… When the error occurs, “it” sets the chamber temp to zero and I have to set it back to 65 and resume the print.

Does it keep up at 65C when it’s working?

Yep. Have it running right now and humming along at 65C. Sadly, I never see exactly what happens right before the error occurs. Might have to figure out how to screen record Bambu Studio or something.

Edit: Well, dipped to 64C when I took the screenshot but it’s holding fine.

Mine is throwing the mc error again. Looks like it happens consistently with large parts approaching max height

It says MC module temperature is too high,

HMS_0300-A200-0001-0001: MC module temperature is too high, possibly because of high chamber temperature of the printer. You can try lowering the environmental temperature before use. | Bambu Lab Wiki.

Guess your environment temperature is quite high? Or maybe a cooling defficiency.

Its in an air conditioned garage thats 83f.

It’s consistently happening on big abs prints hitting max height. I’ll try to find in the future if the parts are effecting chamber air circulation.

I will add this is an almost 4 day print. For over 3 1/2 days there was no error. Had a similar size print that lasted two days; error only got thrown in last couple hours.

I think we had someone else also having the same issue but I can’t recall

After examining the machine i have a theory.

Once the heatbed creeps below the internal heater, if a part is directly infront of it; hot air can be blown in the cavity that the rear lead screws exist in, this in turn gets the area where the MC sits slightly hotter then the rest of the interior and throws the error.

K, back on topic

Here’s a screenshot of when this just happened again today. As can be seen, the chamber temp is suddenly sent to 0

Edit: Actually, after resuming I was watching the print and it malfunctioned again. The temp is set to 0 after the malfunction, not as part of it or a cause of it. I guess I’ll see what Bambu says.

What’s weird is I did two ABS prints after my first posting yesterday without any issues at all. Now this print today has had two malfunctions so far.

Have you power cycled it? If so consider factory resetting it to see if that helps. If power cycling and a factory reset doesn’t fix it I’d assume a bad board.

Did bambu give any response on your support ticket?

I’ve tried power cycling and the issue persists in the current print. I’ll look at a factory reset later.

Heh, it’s been less than a day. You think Bambu has gotten back to me that fast?

I was able to get a screen capture of this malfunction happening a couple times in a row.

Hi there - Just checking, did Bambu Lab get back to you regarding the Chamber Temperature issue?
On my side we’ve also now seen this error pop up a few times, while printing ABS.

Yeah, they wanted me to do some testing that made no sense really. After some questions back and forth they sent me a whole new heater assembly. Took a bit of work to replace but not it’s been working fine and holding temps.
