It was a surprise move to me having a 220V bed, but since higher power - can heat more quickly and regarding beds, it is not just the high voltage ones to worry about, there have been some less than Ideal choices made on low voltage ones using less that ideal components alongside those connections.
As for the A1 replacement, the voltage and chance of mistake was the least of my worries. Swapping those spade connectors was the simplest part of the whole replacement and the chance of getting it wrong compared to say wiring a plug is not worth worrying about. That is to say cable wise the replacement was a walk in the park. Making sure everything else was ok (ie the non electrical parts) needed you to be careful, read the instructions and watch the video and for that Bambu did fairly well in my book.
I have no qualms about buying another Bambu printer to go with my A1 in the future should they make one that would compete with the prusa XL and similar. I only bought the A1 as a stopgap, hoping they would come out with something better than the X1 (bigger bed/multiple extruders) later this year.
