Running the latest firmware on X1C, AMS, and latest Bambu Studio as of today.
When the filament runs out during a print in the AMS 1 and I refill that same slot with new filament Bambu studio loses the profile and shows empty with a ? mark. I can still run my print successfully, however, to show the new filament in AMS I need to:
turn off my printer, close Bambu studio, turn printer back on, restart Bambu studio, then reopen the print file, then reconnect the AMS. Only then does the new filament show in Bambu studio. Is this a bug and I cant seem to find anything on it? any help would be appreciated.
The easiest way I’ve found is to simply remove the filament end and reinsert it into the same slot while the printer is idle (after the print completes). The AMS doesn’t check the RFID if filament is replaced while printing and this is why you get the “?”.
It may be due to the printer itself, not allowing filament editing mid print ,
ive found with the ams 2 it needs to be set before its turned on,filaments loaded generics edited (before printing starts)
