Change filament settings while paused?

Hi,
Have a print that ran out of filament and right now the print is in pause waiting for me to load new filament.
Have new filament incoming soon and I have left the bed heated until I can resume printing.
So my actual question, the incoming filament is of another brand and I wonder if I can choose another filament in the “Prepare” tab without the printer running the slicer again and therefore resetting the print, making me unable to resume the print job from where it was?
Thanks!

This is not possible. The model would need to resliced and restarted.

Once you slice and send the file to the printer nothing you can do in Prepare/Preview has any effect on the print.

Thanks to both of you!
OK, so only thing I can change would be hot end temperature?
edit: and fan speeds.

If you manually change temp or fan speeds they will revert to the settings specified by the g-code from the original slice.

OK, so when is it actually possible to change hot end temp manually?
What’s the use case for it?

You can change it manually when a print is not in progress.

I’ve used it while clearing a clog.

I’ve also used it during a pause for a color change on a layer (no AMS). If I do not pay close attention the nozzle can cool before I make my manual filament swap. Once I complete the change and resume the print, the nozzle temp is back in control of the g-code. Both filaments need to be happy with that temperature.
