Something like this, so you can see how many gift cards without having to do math.
The workaround is to just redeem them, but this is easier.
Good idea. This probably should only show unused gift cards.
There have been requests to have checkboxes for users to indicate if a gift card has been used, or have a way to filter out used gift cards, or integrate gift cards into the checkout process so unused gift cards can be selected without having to copy and paste the gift card codes.
I redeemed more than a dozen the other day and it was annoying dealing with copy & paste.
I can only imagine the problem when I come to process the next batch, not knowing where the last ends and the new first begins.
I heard some people making spreadsheets to keep track of gift card usage.
Integration of the gift cards into the checkout process was one of the features that I requested, although I don’t know how easy or difficult it is to add custom function in the BL store which is on Shopify. Hopefully BL can make it happen.
They are far too big to have a Shopify setup.
They should have an integrated basket and checkout system with all the customisation facilities they can include.
If they want to act like a little company then have little company services from third parties. However, if they want to be an actual big-boy company, be professional.
It would be helpful if the used vouchers were marked as such and there was an option to hide them. Alternatively, having an account where you can redeem the vouchers, similar to Amazon, would be beneficial.
Livin the dream fellas, Livin the dream.
Life’s been rough and busy lately so definitely haven’t had time to model anything lately. Been on bereavement
I just really hope @makerworld doesn’t want to adjust the points on the gift card or even cancel it. I think there are a lot of users here who don’t have thousands of downloads of their models and are slowly saving points.
Yup, slowly saving points is accurate. I’m 𝗉̶𝖺̶𝗍̶𝗂̶𝖾̶𝗇̶𝗍̶𝗅̶𝗒̶ waiting for like 150 more points, then I get $120 and buy an A1 Mini Combo
Way more manageable than some of you guys, but I’m getting there eventually, and just recently started posting. In my opinion, they should build their own checkout system, or at least their own Shopify integration/app to be able to connect a MW account and auto import unused giftcards from that.
It was honestly gratifying being able to buy a a1 combo & mini with gift cards before the change over. Would’ve been better though if everything was completely paid for, they get you on their deep discounts when purchasing a printer lol. I had to buy a build plate nozzle combo and 3 spools as well but total was only like $65 afterwards.
Definitely feels good to have achieved that at least once in makerworld. I’m pretty much the one who cared about this platform versus my teammates, they kinda thought I wasted a lot of my time with it until I busted out them gift cards
Just going to bump this suggestion. Got more gift cards now, and I’m realizing how much of a pain it is. My new suggestion is this: The “Redeem Cash” page is replaced with a “Redeem” page. This new page has two sections, pictured below.
The bottom one works as it does now, letting users redeem for cash. The top one is similar. There are a few ways this could work, ordered least to most desirable in my opinion.
- You can adjust how many points to redeem, and it converts them to a singular Bambu Lab gift card
- If it’s possible it directly adds it to an existing one. If you redeemed on to an existing card, you can just use that singular gift card whenever you check out.
- Even more preferable would be the ability to add it to a new gift card or add it to a previously redeemed one. This way users could purchase a gift for someone else if they wished to.
- Most ideally, it would just add it to the redeemer’s Bambu account, no gift cards needed.
It would of course have a minimum amount of points needed to redeem. Probably $40 (or equivalent in other countries), matching the current gift cards. The redemption ratio would stay the same.
from the web UI, I just use the pages - each one is 10 giftcards, so I go to page X and start clicking check status until I find one with a balance still, count up, and look at the page number, so if its page 8 that’s 7x10 + whatever I counted on this page x $40 (for US) it’s harder to do on Bambu Handy because the list scrolls infinitely, but you can just go to makerworld dot com in a mobile browser.
But YES, I’d love an easier way of keeping track of what’s spent, what my spending power is, and an easier way to redeem the cards without individual copy/paste operations.
Something cool would be a checkbox system where it could generate a new code from the cards selected for a one-time copy/paste maybe
I glanced at the screenshot without reading and was like “WHAT are you modeling, I gotta copy you!” LOL XD
I’d rather see them spend the effort to upgrade/replace their shopping cart system entirely and then integrate it directly with the coins so that you can buy things from the shop with points directly, cutting out the gift card hassle.
Like how it works on the Nintendo e-shop (and surely many other examples out there)
^^ very much this. The vibe I get from them is they seem to be a company with an excellent product that blew up very quickly so is still very startup-mode with how they are operating internally. In some ways though I like that - easier to deal with small companies than large faceless behemoths.
Lol I wish
Hmmm that seems TOO easy, nah. Lol jk that would be awesome I’d love that.
This, I mean it’s good really good, yes and, we’re all expecting them to provide Apple levels of support when they’re literally a kickstarter project that made it huge.
Ideally it would allow partial purchases as well, though. Like I could use a $40 giftcard on a $800 printer, or I can use 20 $40 giftcards to buy the whole thing.
