Change the filament of a clone?

Aye, that’s what I did… I just figured that it should be easily doable enough in the Studio.

Late to the party, but… when I try and change the filament for parts of an object (eg. text embedded in the object,) the display does not reflect the change and when I slice it uses the original color assigned when creating the plate from Fusion’s “3D Print” command. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Importing a model that has pre-assigned colours will often cause issues as this overrides the colour selection within Studio. You will probably need to “Erase all painting” and repaint the object.

Where are you making this change?

Can you supply some screenshots to detail what you are doing?

Ahhh… this seems to remove the colours ‘imported’ from Fusion and now reflects changes to the filaments. :+1: So it treats the colours from fusion as “painting”. This adds a step explains why changing filaments does not work as I did read you can’t change filaments if you have manually painted. I just had not used the painting feature so did not think to look there. Thank you.

Doing it in the ‘Prepare’ tab in Bambu Studio. JonRaymond seems to have shown me the way.

Thank for responding.

Also haven’t figured out how to add photos to these chats, it keeps telling me that I cannot embed. :man_shrugging:
