Change your H2D or H2C Hotend Cooling Fan in under 98 seconds

Maybe what they changed was high temp grease in the bearings, so the part number stayed the same??

Crazy if true. Apparently they do seem to work though.

I haven’t heard of someone having to replace one twice on the same machine.

Oh there is one fella here who has to change it every 200 hours the way he talks on the same machine. Either he’s got something else going on or the worst luck for a fan. I bought my spare based on his experience. Plus I’ve had enough GPU fans fail to get expect the worst.

The ball bearings in small fans don’t use grease or oil.

Take notes bambu. This is what a user serviceable part looks like on your machines.

Your hotend fan mod shows that, with a little different engineering, Bambu could’ve released a printer with a fan cartridge that simply slotted in from the side, with the plug oriented to plug into a daughter board on the “rear” side of the slot. Anyone could handle that replacement then. I really don’t think they expected the fan to poop out in a few hundred hours, given how terrible it is to get to on the default design. I think sometimes there’s just oversights made.
