Changing filament mid-print

In Bambu Studio, if I select a layer (e.g. 20) and change the filament (or insert code or whatever), will that change happen at the beginning or end of the selected layer?

It only makes sense to happen at the beginning but experience tells me that, how you think something should work is not the same as how it actually works.

You’re correct, it happens at the start of the selected layer.

Be mindful that currently, the change filament option only works if you have an AMS connected.

An upcoming version will provide the same functionality with the external spool.
