Check out this shipping box upon arrival!

It appears that Bambu has a new (at least to me) distribution center in New Jersey. A recent order came from that location and this is how is showed up!

All the filaments were loose in the box and one had even broken free from its box and was flopping around inside. No packing fill!

It appears the NJ center recycled an incoming box and just threw my purchase into it and sent it out. I am disappointed at Bambu for this level of service.

In the second photo is a comparison of a shipment from the Texas distribution center. One is nice and pretty the other looks like a dumpster fire!

A little irritated!

wonder if the delivery people thought anything about it. That is a crushed box…

Looks like it was on the bottom of the Yertle the Turtle pile. Can @Bambucustomerservice be added to the Tag?

I reached out to CS and they are wanting me to show that the actual filament was damaged and not just the outside box. The filament boxes show damage but who knows on the filament. I went back and forth with them and just grew tied of arguing my point. Guess I will babysit these filaments and keep re-feeding any breaks I come across.

I will never accept another package from the NJ center as they clearly don’t give a ■■■■. All my filaments I buy from Bambu accept a few specialty rolls. I am researching other options at this juncture.

These photos are even before I opened it. That is still delivery sealed.

What a pain. Hopefully no non-obvious cracks or warpage in the spools. Did you happen to see what carrier delivered the box to you?

This makes me think that as Christmas gets closer there will be more and more packages sent through every carrier and there will probably be lots more crushed boxes, even ones that are packed and filled properly.

On other filaments, that can be a carp shoot also. I bought 3 spools of Overture PLA (cardboard spools) to try through Amazon. Haven’t used them yet but when the packages arrived (not crushed) I imediately noticed one of the boxes looked like it had been re-taped, with nice white tape to match the original. Opened the box and it was just the spooled filament, no bag, nothing. Opened the other 2 boxes and the spools were vacum bagged and had nice data sheets and also had more filament on the spool. Obviously someone elses return. I did the return and replace option and explained why and got a new box within a few days. Bagged and with the data sheet. And I am not a Prime member. I don’t blame Amazon or Overture, Amazon probably got it back as an “unused” return. I was glad I had 2 others to compare it to, otherwise I probably would have assumed that was how Overture did buisness.

This is why Bambu needs to officially partner with Amazon

It’s shipped from a warehouse in NJ, and one in CA. I don’t know if BL packages the stuff up or if there’s a third party that ships it. That being said I doubt BL even saw it go out.

Not saying it’s not something they need to care for. I get a lot of overseas stuff delivered from NJ. It’s also port of entry for the overseas shipped items. So BL could have packaged in China and it get screwed on the way. Again, their responsibility but you can see how it happens.

The shipping company was YunExpress. That says a lot.

Also, while looking this shipping company up, I realized I am missing to PTFE tubing that I ordered with this. Don’t even want to reach out to them at this point. My time is worth more than $10.

YunExpress probably only handled it through customs and into the NJ site. Usually they hand off “last mile” delivery to someone like USPS, UPS or maybe now even Amazon logistics. So the deep tissue massage of the box could have happened with either or both parties. Which still doesn’t make up for someone thinking free air is a good material to surround items in a shipping box with for impact protection. The box looks like it was retaped several times so no telling where the PTFE tube ended up. I do hope that after all of the shipping issues that the filament does actually print well for you. This kind of stuff can really ruin your day.

Edit: were there actually 10 spools in there? The tube might actuall still show up since I don’t see it listed on the label?

That box was just some random box they threw it in. I only had four spools in there so plenty of room to play ping pong. None of them were the red matt from the label on the box. I am at a loss for words why CS is being obstinate about this. I was able to catch the driver coming up my driveway on one of my house cams and look how he is carrying it. Clearly used as a soccer ball before it got to me. Can’t carry a solid box with one hand from the top like that unless it is crushed.

We are sorry to see the package being delivered in this condition. It is not normal.

Please send me a private message with the ticket ID so we can look into this and find a solution. Providing the required details to our colleagues in the ticket will help get any products replaced, if they are damaged.

Power to the noisy gear! Squeak, squeak.

Edit: maybe their reesponse is not really more than you got from your initial support contact (damaged product replacement), but at least they appear to being taking notice.

Thanks all. I’m going to give Bambu one more chance to make this right. I do not feel I’m being unreasonable nor do I want anything for free.

I’ve agreed to send back this filament back for a replacement.

To their credit, after explaining to them in a firm but respectful manner that this is not what is expected from Bambu, they escalated this to management.

I’ll keep you’all posted.

No need to guess!

If you look at the tracking history of the package, you can see where it is handed off. Typically a carrier like YunExpress will hand off to a local firm once the package is in the country.

Not sure where you live; in most countries it’s the job of the store (Bambu) to fix this, and the responsibliy of the buyer’s government to pass consumer protection laws to force sellers to do so, in order to protect their citzens.

In any case, if you need PTFE, just AliExpress it. Check the seller’s rep, and if it’s OK, you will get a working PTFE within 2 weeks for a large saving.

If you have filament issues, it should be OK. Having PLA banged around shouldn’t affect it much even if it’s absorbed moisture.
