It seems like you’re a Chinese seller defending your malpractice. It is not about patent, but about stealing, getting caught and then altering so the platform does not acknowledge it as an infringement of the digital file license.

They contacted you; that’s NOT evidence of them stealing. They used one photo of your model’s print, yes that’s dodgy and you can file a claim for that. But their product is different with yours.
The evidence of stealing is the actual photos of their products looking exactly like yours.
Also, your design look suspiciously like the other design I posted here, any words? Do you think it’s okay for someone else to accuse you of stealing another person’s design for… I dunno, MW boosts? Just because it looks similar.

I do not have to prove anything to you, this thread is a warning to creators about this thing happening.
It happened to me more than once.
1: Model is sold on temu, aliexpress, shein… whatever
2: Claim filed, listing taken down
3: Vendor complaining to me about margins on the platform, did not know etc, wants a license or something. I say no (to offenders)
4: They change the model so it will not be taken down and keep selling.
They only contacted me because they lost their business, not because they felt i should have a piece of their earnings.
This is the last i will say about it.
All you creators, be warned and do whatever you want with it.

I just want to explain why the topic isn’t developing the way you would like.
There is a subtle yet significant distinction between publishing a warning on the forum and making an accusation.
- A warning is rather general; as the name suggests, it serves to warn people and help the community.
- An accusation is when specific merchants are named, as well as 3D models, which distinguishes it from a warning.
You have given the topic the character of an accusation, and that is why people are rightly demanding proof or at least an explanation from you. Why? Because accusations are taken very seriously in the forum. That’s how it has to be, so that innocent people aren’t simply accused out of the blue.
I’m not saying whether or not this is the case; I’m just pointing out that you are currently confusing a warning with an accusation, which is why your topic is being investigated more closely. If you don’t want this to happen again, frame the topic more broadly as a general warning.
For example, your first post also lacks useful tips, experiences, or how to deal with this in order to serve as a good warning.
TLDR: If you want to warn people, then do so, but you have made an accusation against a specific retailer. That’s why the topic isn’t developing the way you want it to. Many would certainly have been grateful for a straightforward warning. However, when accusations are made, people always want proof and explanations - this is important and perfectly reasonable. There have been enough false accusations in the forum just because someone wanted to harm their competitors.
Next time, just write a warning and not an accusation. Problem solved.

I took out the link in the first post so the accusation part is out.
As for a solution, stop publishing on free platforms like Makerworld. That’s what i did, and the only solution i can think of, but everyone is free to do as he/she likes.

Billion dollar brands can’t even stop copying/counterfeits coming out of China. I think you’re wasting your time and energy, as you mentioned, they just repost it again after takedown.
I suggest you start your own print sale shop and keep some files private. If they’re relisting it, it’s probably making them money, or they wouldn’t bother.
This is confusing though, you are publishing on MakerWorld. You first post has a link to MW. The model is still there, along with your other models.
And since then i made many more models that are not on Makerworld, the models on makerworld are already out there, so the damage is already done, so i might as well leave them there.

Your most recent upload on MW is in Novemer 2025. Your have about 1 - 3 models uploaded each month. There can’t be that many models outside of MW since then, if there are.
You can still remove the 136 models you have on MW to prevent further “damage” if you really think posting on MW does damages to your models.
It’s amazing how the longer the topic goes on, the more twists are revealed.
The answer is clear, though: almost all models are exclusive and enjoy special protection. A lot of real money is also involved, which is not a bad thing - creators want to be compensated - but it is part of the context.
The irony is that Willem / user_4059763918 now uses Patroen, which offers even less protection because it is automatically bypassed, making the data accessible to everyone. You can be sure that after a week, the data will be available to everyone in the “backup” network.
However, I am deliberately not mentioning the website / network. For the purposes of the argument, it is sufficient to say that Patreon offers no protection at all. Neither in terms of data nor in a legal sense. MakerWorld offers at least a little protection with its exclusive program.
In this context, it would of course be interesting to know which website is considered secure instead. Both in terms of data and in a legal sense. Even Gumroad and Cults have long been bypassed.

Thanks for the Patreon insight, i hosted my files elsewhere now so they cannot be downloaded directly (and bypass the tiers. This was indeed very simple to achieve)
