Hey @Contributing_Factor – would you consider surfacing Makerworld’s “Hot Score” value like the Unofficial MakerWorld Assistant extension does? I really like seeing that and watching it grow/shrink as I publish new models and track their position on the Trending page.
@Contributing_Factor the extension seems to be broken now, dev may need to update it. I have tried closing reopening browser but still no stats showing on either tool. Perhaps makerworld broke it with updates
I noticed this as well. It could be related to their efforts on security, blocking certain systems from using these tools to track points. I know there were some users or bots possibly taking advantage of these extensions. Unfortunately, that affects those of us who just want to track our models’ progress. It would be great if Bambu offered this functionality natively. Even something as simple as a progress bar would be helpful.
Nope.
They don’t track points, they act as a calculator. The code can be read if you know how to do it.
Unfortunately, UI updates are common, I doubt that BL even noticed these plug-ins helped people. It is a common side-effect of creating third-party plug-ins.
I imagine the creators will do their best to update for the latest UI change. It’s the third or fourth time the same thing has happened.
It could put the plug-in people off, though, as it gets annoying after a while.
The latest UI tweaks didn’t add anything, they changed the grid from 3 across to 4 across and moved the collect button into the more button (three dots).
Thank you for letting me know, and thank you @MalcTheOracle for fielding the issue and operating as my support engineer.
I uploaded a new version (0.9) for both chrome and firefox. It will be available on the respective plugin stores whenever the scripts wake up and decide to approve it.
For the curious: The issue was caused by some reformatting of the model tiles. Either they added or moved the clickable like in the model tiles (I don’t remember what it looked like before) and it threw off parsing of divs in that row. Should all be good now.
And to clarify again, the plugin does not do anything but read what MW publishes on the MW webpage. It doesn’t call secret APIs, it does not talk to servers, it does not store data, it does not send data. It just parses the html page the browser is rendering when it’s loaded (which you can also look at if you right-click a web-page and select ‘View source’).
They moved the collect (add to collections) button from the main line next to the like button. It is now found in the more button (three dots).
They also left-aligned everything they left there.
Support engineer signing off.
thank you, appreciate your efforts and time. The tool is great
I’m glad you are enjoying it. Sorry if I missed your message for a while. I’ve been pausing my 3d printing obsession for a bit, so I don’t check here or MW very often.
