I’ve written a simple extension that shows my current MakerWorld points in the Chrome toolbar. Clicking on the icon will display the last 10 transactions.
It pulls the info from MakerWorld using the currently logged-in account & updates the number in badge every 2 hours.
Is this something people would be interested in me publishing to the Chrome Store, or is this kind of thing frowned upon by Bambulab?
I’m pretty sure this is against the MakerWorld “terms of use”. You might want to review those, especially before you post this for others. It is cool though.
That’s been on my mind too. I’ll dig into it, but it would be great if someone from MakerWorld could confirm. When I created a similar extension for another company, I ran it past their legal team first.
I’m more than happy to chat with someone at MakerWorld and share the source code. If they’d prefer it to be public on GitHub, that works for me as well.
Unfortunately, they confirmed this is against their Terms of Service, so I’ll be unable to publish the extension. It’s fair enough.. it’s their platform.
