Cleared Extruder Clog, now P2S doesn't know AMS PTFE tube is connected

P2S has been performing flawlessly until extruder clogged up. I disassembled it and found a blob of LW PLA jammed in the ridged gear wheel. Poked it out with a bit of 1mm wire, put it all back together and printed from the external reel. All good.

Reconnected the AMS 2, unloaded the external reel and tried to load a filament from the AMS. Screen asked I ***“please pull out the filament on the spool holder (*showing a picture of the external filament being pulled back). If this message persists, please check to see if there is filament broken in the extruder (there isn’t as it has just printed a test). (Connect a PTFE tube if you are about to use an AMS.)

The AMS PTFE tube is inserted as normal - is there a sensor in the Hub on the back that detects filament?

It was apparently (support) the filament sensor - they sent me a new one and that fixed it for a bit. Now getting clogged extruder symptoms.
