I just used all the default settings on my new A1 and I think the clump detection is on by default. Is that where the print head goes to the right rear corner for a second with a little piece of filament dangling just to scare you that it is gonna try to ruin your print?
Can it be turned off while in the middle of a print? Do I really need it on?
Thanks
I just got mine, but to my knowledge, the clump detection is more for when the filament doesnβt stick to the bed and you get that HUGE clump of molten filament that basically encompasses the whole print head.
Yeah, I figured it was something like that but I am wondering why every now and then, the hot end pauses what it is doing and makes a trip to the right rear corner?
You can check the wiki and there it explains it. That way you can see if it is what the machine is doing or not and even deactivate it, if you wish.
